Many hours are required to create a fine Mola art - as they are sewed by hand.Mola art developed when Kuna women had some access to stores and goods. When Kuna women finish a particular piece they sell the molas to the collectors. Kuna women use simple materials to make their molas. Which are cotton fabric, thread, pencil, scissors, a thimble, and needles.
